Keep watch, for you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. (Matthew 24:42)

Thought:

God gave the Israelites exact instructions on how to prepare a place for him so that they could host his presence among them wherever they went. It was clear they needed to obey his instructions to the letter or else God would not go with them.

It is no less clear today. Jesus warned that when he returned it would be swift and unexpected and therefore we should make sure we are ready at all times.

Word:

Exodus 25:8, 9, 40 NLT

8 “Have the people of Israel build me a holy sanctuary so I can live among them. 9 You must build this Tabernacle and its furnishings exactly according to the pattern I will show you.
40 “Be sure that you make everything according to the pattern I have shown you here on the mountain.

Matthew 24:37-42 NLT

“When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes. “Two men will be working together in the field; one will be taken, the other left. Two women will be grinding flour at the mill; one will be taken, the other left. “So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.

Goal:

Have I built a holy tabernacle fit for God to dwell in with my life? That is my question and my goal. The instructions are available and so I continue to study them each day in the hope that I will complete my tabernacle for The Lord in time for his return.
